Times Higher Education’s Impact Rankings (THE Impact Rankings) capture universities’ impact on society based on institutions’ success in delivering the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
TSI is the only private university included in the ranking, within the Latvian higher education overview of 2023. Highlights of the TSI ranking this year include directions of Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Partnerships for the goals.
Improving these directions over the recent past, TSI gets acknowledged in the worldwide education arena as the university that promotes sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and a successful professional environment. Along with it, TSI is proven to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, promoting lifelong learning education opportunities for everyone.
TSI embraces gender equality, participating in multiple initiatives empowering women and girls in education, STEM, management, and related fields. For example, just recently, TSI spread awareness and supported International Girls in ICT Day.
TSI stands by the view, that sustainable development is also consistent of thoughtful partnerships for the goal- reaching, which was also acknowledged in THE Impact Rankings 2023. TSI business partnerships not only bring trends of the industries into the educational process with the help of guest lectures and seminars but also create opportunities for youngsters to study for free and get guaranteed jobs.
The importance of reviewing and acknowledging of THE Impact Rankings is driven by the fact that it provides a showcase for the work being delivered by universities in our communities, and it is an opportunity to shine a light on institutional activities and efforts. It allows to demonstrate the differences a university is making to the world we live in.
