The Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) offers new and exciting lessons for high school students in areas such as programming, robotics, artificial intelligence, as well as logistics, aviation and social sciences. TSI provides lessons to excite pupils, stimulate their interest in further education, without emphasizing our university, but higher education in general.
We explain complex things to pupils in easy and understandable language, thus showing that the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) is versatile, interesting and exciting, and TSI encourages pupils to choose their future career and profession by linking choice with one of the engineering fields.
At the moment, lessons are offered every Friday online, which provides an opportunity to “visit” not only Riga schools, but throughout Latvia and even abroad. We are pleased that colleagues from secondary and vocational education institutions are joining TSI lessons to deepen and diversify their students’ learning process. Feedback from schools that have already taken this opportunity shows that young people are excited to learn about todays trendings topics, discuss what they have heard and using them in to their lives. More about application, lesson topics and times you can find in the section Studies – Lessons for Schools.
Hope to see you online!
An interesting fact!
106 lessons in 25 Latvian schools and technical colleges have already been provided during the 2020/2021 study year. Approximately 1,900 young people have attended these classes. More about the lessons and feedback from schools you can read on Delfi article (in Latvian).
