TSI, Transport and Telecommunication Institute – is a modern university of applied sciences with a centennial history. TSI – is the successor of the legendary RKIIGA (Riga Civil Aviation Engineers Institute) and RAU (Riga Aviation University).
In the present-day appearance TSI was established in 1999. Nowadays TSI – is the only private technical higher educational institution in Latvia. All study programs are provided in two languages – Latvian and English. TSI has received permanent accreditation in Latvia as a higher education institution.
TSI provides study programmes in the following directions: transport and logistics, aviation, computer sciences and networks, electronics and robotics, management and business. TSI is the only university in Latvia to provide specialisations in the field of AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Since 2020, TSI offers 3 double degree study programmes, which were created and are being implemented in cooperation with the University of the West of England – Uwe Bristol. The given cooperation displays recognition of the quality of TSI education and its compliance with British educational standards.
TSI is active in versatile research scientific work. According to the results of expert evaluation, the Transport and Telecommunication Institute is the only among private higher educational institutions included in the list of leading scientific institutions in Latvia. TSI’s academic staff includes experts from the Latvian Science Council, as well as world-class professionals from industry.
Total number of TSI university graduates – more than 9000.
TSI is proud of its international environment with students from more than 40 countries – Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Lithuania, UK, Spain, Turkey, Moldova, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Peru and other countries – are a big part of the TSI community. The most popular education directions for foreign students are IT, logistics, aviation.
