The final event of the first stage of the iDEAHUB project of the TSI business incubator and the awarding of the winners with a cash prize fund of 8 000 euros took place at the “Skola” exhibition in Ķipsala, on March 3, 2023.
The event and presentation of awards took place on the open stage, where young people – project participants – talked about their unique and innovative Start-Up business ideas.
The competition within the project was high – from devices that make life easier for blind people to unique tracking and data automation systems in the logistics and transport industry.
As part of the project, young people had the opportunity to gain unique experience and a real help in creating and developing a business with funding of up to 11 000 euros, and last Friday, by the jury’s evaluation, the participants found out who were the ones amongst winners and the amount of the prize money won.
- 3rd place with a prize of 1 000 euros – the “DiPROGer” team, which developed a low-cost drone system for the integration of multifunctional services, capable of, for example, monitoring agricultural land or counting trees. The platform is available and easy to use for all sectors of the economy: from small family farms to huge infrastructure service providers. Team members: Ivans Gercevs, Viktorija Gerceva;
- 2nd place with a prize of EUR 2 000 – “Railway Maintenance Platform”, which implements a platform for the storage and analysis of railway maintenance data by railway maintenance workers using computer vision. Participants of the project are: Nikita Stepanovs, Mihails Korchevskis, Kirils Kolesnikovs, Daniels Matjuhovs;
