Requirements for applicants:
- PhD and/or higher education in the field of activity of the Faculty;
- Previous work experience in administration, human resources or business management relevant to the field of activity of the Faculty;
- Teaching and/or scientific expertise preferred relevant to the field of activity of the Faculty, including experience in international cooperation projects;
- Good knowledge of Latvian and English language;
- Ability to motivate staff, leadership skills;
- Ability to organize one’s own work and that of subordinates;
- Ability to prioritize, take decisions and be accountable for decisions;
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills, including with international partners.
Duties:
- Developing and implementing the strategic development concept of the Faculty within the overall development strategy of the Transporta un sakaru instituts;
- Planning and management of the academic, research, methodological and administrative work of the Faculty;
- Analyzing the quality assessment of programs and learning outcomes;
- Organizing the professional and social development of the academic staff of the Faculty;
- Organizing the scientific activities of the Faculty staff and supporting their participation in scientific projects;
- To ensure cooperation with the management of the University, its departments and various external social and business partners in Latvia and abroad;
- Managing the financial and economic activities of the Faculty.
