TSI professor Appointed as Management Committee Member for COST Action PACT

TSI is proud to announce that Associate Professor Evelīna Budiloviča has been appointed as a Management Committee Member representing Latvia in the prestigious COST Action CA23138 – Port City Territories in Action: A Collaborative Laboratory for Inclusive Energy Transition (PACT).

The COST Action PACT addresses the critical challenges of energy transition in port city territories, proposing innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions. The initiative emphasizes the socio-cultural and spatial implications of transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy while fostering collaboration among key stakeholders such as policymakers, researchers, port authorities, and local communities.

Key Objectives of COST Action PACT:

  1. Mapping: Identifying the complexities of energy transitions in port city territories.
  2. Reframing: Rethinking energy challenges by integrating social, cultural, economic, and environmental perspectives.
  3. Co-creating: Developing methodologies for collaborative planning and knowledge co-production.
  4. Including: Ensuring inclusivity, particularly addressing the needs of marginalized groups.
  5. Envisioning: Shaping sustainable, inclusive futures for port city territories.
  6. Transmitting: Sharing knowledge and strategies to inspire global action.
