Assoc. Professor Evelina Budilovica, Head of TSI’s Research Administrative Department, represented our university at the prestigious European Hydrogen Valleys Investment Forum 2024 which was held this year in Riga, Latvia. This forum provided an invaluable opportunity for networking with industry, government, and municipal representatives.
The forum’s primary focus areas included the use, generation, and storage of hydrogen; the application of digital twins; urban planning; cybersecurity and sustainability; and the development of partnerships and pilot projects. Additionally, discussions highlighted funding opportunities for collaboration between municipalities, the private sector, and academia to support pilot initiatives and advance the hydrogen economy.
The European Hydrogen Valleys Investment Forum 2024 is organized by Tech Tour and co-organized by The Clean Hydrogen Partnership, Hydrogen Europe, and the Latvian Hydrogen Association, hosted by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA).
The Clean Hydrogen Partnership is a unique public-private partnership that supports research and innovation activities in hydrogen technologies across Europe. Hydrogen Europe represents the interests of the hydrogen and fuel cell industry and its stakeholders. The Latvian Hydrogen Association focuses on developing hydrogen economics in Latvia by utilizing local natural resources and hydrogen as an energy carrier.
We would like to sincerely thank the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) for the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious event. The forum was an excellent platform for fostering collaboration and exploring innovative solutions in the hydrogen sector.
