Standart (Main) Logo

This is TSI’s main logo and the main key element of the brand’s graphic identity. The logo consists of two parts – the TSI graphic element and full name – Transport and Telecommunication Institute, for which a classic sans-serif font was chosen.

Inverse Versions of the Logo

The logo of TSI, Transport and Telecommunication Institute, is intended to be used only in the defined dark blue or white colour. 100% white versions are always recommended on dark backgrounds.

Safe Logo Placement Zone

Safe Logo Placement is a placement of a logo where no other elements interfere with it or cover it by any way, improving visibility. It means that no images, text or other visual elements may be placed too close to the logo. For a practical comparison, the minimum margins around the logo are defined by the height of the letter “T” if the basic version of the logo is used, and the height of “lv” if the version of the www.tsi.lv logo is used.

Minimum Logo Size

In order to maintain the visibility and recognition of the logo, a minimum size has been set for it to be used. The main logo version shall not be used in a width smaller than 20 mm. When using the www.tsi.lv version  – width has to be no less than 15mm. The separate symbol (TSI in a soft square) cannot have a smaller width than a 5 mm in width.

Colour Gradients

Defined colour transitions can be used in any materials, but heavy line transitions should be avoided. This can be a result or a poor print quality, an improperly prepared file, or file compression. Colour transitions in heavy lines can be avoided by using a “grain” texture, or by making sure your document settings are optimal for colour transitions.

Graphic Elements

Blocks of Graphic Elements

This scheme shows the close connection of our educational institution to everything related to electronics and mechanics. The construction of the blocks is similar to modern microchips. Each block has its own centre element or elements, which combine with other centre elements by branching. The system of graphic elements uses modular schemes that can be combined like pieces of a puzzle, creating unique schemes. Each of the blocks can be rotated and mirrored, creating 81 versions of the block (not counting the empty block).

bloka uzbuve

Block construction

The block is based on a 16×16 grid. The central rhombuses are formed from the square of the TSI logo, which is rotated by 45 degrees. Each turn of the line is rounded based on a 4×4 circle. For all blocks to be connected, the same exit points are used, which are equally distant from each edge.

Wrong Use of Graphic Elements

In order for graphic elements to look universal in all materials, the mentioned errors should be avoided. When creating graphic materials, it should be avoided that these graphic elements get much more visual attention than the text or photo. It should work as a unifying element that brings the visual to life, not as a main visual material.

Elements that have the same contrast should not overlap

It is forbidden to use elements in the undefined colours

The proportional ratio of graphic elements should not be changed

It is forbidden to connect blocks of graphic elements in free format

It is forbidden to use graphic elements in contour lines

It is forbidden to change the inner structure of the graphic elements
