The TSI, Transport and Telecommunication Institute has entered into a strategic collaboration with Magnetic MRO, a fast-growing international aviation company based in Estonia, and the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EEK Mainor). This partnership aims to develop а curriculum for aviation technicians, designed to meet the pressing workforce needs in the aviation industry.
“This strategic cooperation is a proactive step towards solving the current labor issues in aviation,” stated Jan Kotka, Chief Operating Officer of Magnetic MRO. TSI will play a crucial role in this partnership by focusing on aviation-specific subjects, leveraging its extensive experience and expertise in the field. The collaboration will combine TSI’s academic strength with Magnetic MRO’s practical maintenance experience and EEK Mainor’s programme structuring capabilities.
After graduating students will have the opportunity to receive two bachelor’s degrees – both from TSI and from EEC Minor. This initiative is part of Magnetic Academy’s ongoing efforts to train up to 100 new aviation technicians over the next few years. The program is set to launch in the 2025/2026 academic year and aims to prepare the next generation of highly skilled aviation technicians to thrive in this dynamic industry.
