Alexander Andronov is a distinguished Latvian scientist and Emeritus Professor at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute. He completed his education at the Aviation Technological Institute and dedicated his entire career to working in prestigious universities: Riga Aviation University as Head of Department of Computer Systems for Information Processing and Management, and Riga Technical University as the Head of Division of Mathematical Support of Management Computer Systems for Transport and Transport and Telecommunication Institute. In 2021, he was honored with the prestigious title of Emeritus Professor at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute in Riga, Latvia.
With a doctorate in Engineering Sciences, Professor Andronov’s unwavering passion for research and scientific endeavors has earned him the recognition of the Republic of Latvia, which awarded him the title of Honorary Scientist in 1990.
Throughout his career, Professor Andronov has been actively involved in research and has authored more than 100 influential publications in the field of mathematics. His research papers have been widely recognized and have contributed to advancements in mathematical theory and applications. Professor Andronov’s expertise and mentorship have also nurtured the talents of aspiring mathematicians, shaping the future of the discipline and paving the way for more than 30 students to achieve their doctoral degrees.
As a testament to his expertise, Professor Andronov serves on the editorial board of the journal Automatic Control and Computer Sciences published by Springer. He has also been a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA). Professor Andronov’s contributions to the field of mathematics, research, and teaching have left an indelible mark on the scientific community.
