Foreign citizens who want to study in Latvia have the opportunity to apply for Latvian State Scholarships, financed by the State. Latvia offers scholarships to foreign students, researchers and teaching staff for studies, research and participation in summer schools in Latvian higher education institutions (HEIs).
Students of the Bachelor’s program can apply starting from the 2nd study year; master’s program students – starting from the 1st study year. Call for applications is open from 1 February to 1 April each year.

Scholarship Competition For Students From Belarus
The European Union is announcing a competition for EU4Belarus – Support for Advanced Learning and Training (SALT) scholarships for Belarusian students within the framework of the “EU4Belarus: solidarity with the people of Belarus” programme!
Citizens of the Republic of Belarus who plan to study or are already studying full-time bachelor’s or master’s study programmes at universities in Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, and Poland no earlier than the 2020/2021 academic year can apply for scholarships.
