| Aim | To provide students with basic knowledge of the Latvian language, to introduce grammar structures and vocabulary used in daily conversations as well as in social and state institutions |

| LO2 | answer different questions on certain topics in written form, write a note or short letter to friends or relatives;
describe the appearance, name monetary units, food and non-food products, receive and deliver uncomplicated information in the supermarket or cafe etc.;
retell about their education;
retell about Latvia;
use appropriate to a certain theme verbs in simple tenses;
use simple word- combinations;
use numerals for forming language constructions related to the theme;
concord nouns with other parts of speech |
