We are thrilled to celebrate Adham El Menshawy (from Egypt), Assistant Professor at TSI’s Engineering Faculty, on successfully defending his doctoral dissertation. His research, titled “Investigation of Performance Improvement of Gas Turbine Engine by Optimized Design of Turbine Blade Cooling Channels“, represents a significant advancement in gas turbine technology.
A. El Menshawy’s work focuses on optimizing the design of cooling channels within turbine blades, which are essential for maintaining safe operating temperatures and extending the life of these critical engine components. His research also includes an extensive analysis of CF6 engines in B747 aircraft, offering valuable insights into engine performance and degradation over time. Additionally, he introduced innovative cooling channel designs, such as U-bend, net-shape, and jet impingement types, which demonstrated improved thermal performance and reduced drag forces.
Today 78.9% of TSI faculty members holds a Ph.D. And we are extremely proud that A. El Menshawy’s are one of them.
His achievement underlines the dedication and expertise, contributing to the future of gas turbine engineering. We are happy to celebrate this milestone and look forward to his continued impact in the field.
