Students from the Transport and Telecommunication Institute’s Bachelor’s Double Degree program in Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence are taking a big step forward with the first international trip to UWE Bristol within the programme. From March 9th to 15th, 2025, this week promises a rich blend of academic, research, and cultural experiences at UWE’s Frenchay Campus.

Throughout the week, the students will take part in:

Workshops and Research Sessions: They’ll attend a series of specialized sessions focused on the latest AI applications and an advanced workshop on artificial intelligence led by UWE experts.

Mini-Project Development: Throughout the week, students will collaborate on a mini-project with guidance from UWE faculty and student ambassadors, wrapping up with a final presentation and award ceremony.

Exploring Innovation: Visits to UWE’s School of Engineering, the immersive CAVE facility, and the renowned Bristol Robotics Lab will provide insights into cutting-edge technology. Building Global Partnerships

This visit strengthens the long-standing partnership between TSI and UWE Bristol, creating valuable cross-border learning opportunities. The visit combines hands-on learning with free time for sightseeing, including trips to Bristol’s cultural hotspots and activities like the Concorde Museum and a Banksy art tour.

This experience will give students the opportunity to step into the shoes of local UWE students, becoming part of the vast UWE community. It will not only be a way to develop technical skills but also an opportunity to gain valuable international collaboration experience, preparing for a future influenced by AI.
