On November 16th, 2023, a delegation from the Civil Aviation Academy of Kazakhstan (CAA) visited TSI. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors – Rector of CAA, Candidate of Economic Sciences Beken Seidakhmetov.
TSI, as university of applied sciences, has more than 10 years long collaboration with the Academy, and its main focus is on training aviation specialists. During the visit further cooperation opportunities were discussed between TSI and CAA, covering several fields of joint interests – academic and professional education, science, staff training, and mobility.
As TSI Rector, Member of the Executive Board of TSI, Ph.D.sc.pol. Juris Kanels highlights: “Transport and Telecommunication Institute rates long-lasting cooperation and even friendship with the Civil Aviation Academy of Kazakhstan very highly. For example, our professional aviation training centre APAC has its own certified class there for training and examination. Now, when the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken a course to improve the quality of higher education in the country according to Western standards, this situation opens even more cooperation opportunities in the future”.
