On October 19th, the general meeting of the “Association of Private Universities” (APU) was held at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI). The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the association’s board, TSI rector, Ph.D.sc.pol., assistant professor Juris Kanels. It discussed the tasks of the Association of Private Universities and the most important directions of activity for 2023/2024 academic year, including the position of private universities on the reform of the institutional financing model of higher education in Latvia, implementation of institutional accreditation of universities, etc. In all these matters, APU stands for the consistent observance of the principle of “unified higher education space” in our country.
