Supporting the expansion of the scientific community, TSI participates in events aimed at young researchers’ development, tutoring, and networking.
The 11th Young Researchers Seminar held in Lisbon, Portugal was hosted and organized by the Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil – LNEC (National Laboratory for Civil Engineering) last week.
This edition offers the opportunity to a network of young transport researchers and interact during the three-day seminar, where young researchers can present their works in written and oral scientific communication by using the methods of tutor- mentors. The tutoring is done by senior researchers, who themselves are acting in a truly international scientific culture.
The young researchers are incited to participate from their own organizations (Institutes or Universities), where Francesco Maria Turno, TSI Ph.D. programme “Telematics and Logistics” student, led a presentation on his work – “Personalization of MaaS Solutions – A Multivariate Data Fusion Approach”. Alex Veseliy, TSI Ph.D. Candidate, researcher, and lecturer successfully presented his paper “State-of-the-art on hyperloop technology”, where research itself might be considered as an influential work for the future of the industry.
As the importance of thoughtful guidance of students and young researchers is decisive for the future of the industry, the event itself is aimed at young transport researchers networking with peers and tutors. Therefore, TSI Chairwoman of the Board and Chief Executive Director, Chairwoman of the Research & PhD Council, Professor Dr. sc. ing. Irina Yatskiv participated in the meaningful event as a tutor for participants.
