Online competition Brain Gym for high school students

BRAIN GYM is over – congratulations to the winners!

In April, TSI traditionally meets with smartest pupils at the TSI Olympiad. We did not stop this tradition this year, but transferred it online!

From April 13 to 19, the first online contest took place in 5 different disciplines, where participiated more than 220 senior pupils from Latvia and from 14 other countries!

The most popular discipline of the contest was Math, where 181 participants have been registered, while for the discipline Economics – 95 participants, Programming – 72 participants and Aviation-Physics – 65 participants. Also to increase the chances of success and victory, 105 participants choose to participate in the Bonus Task discipline, where answered questions about TSI.

Pupils from Riga, Valmiera, Jelgava, Salaspils, Ogre, Rezekne and Daugavpils were the most active. Excellent results were participants from Agenskalna State Gymnasium, Riga State Gymnasium No.1, No.2 and No.3, Riga Zolitūde Gymnasium, Riga Secondary School No.34, Riga Ostvalda Secondary School, Jelgava Spidola Gymnasium, Plavinas Regional Gymnasium, Rezekne State Gymnasium, Salaspils Secondary School No.1 and Valmiera Pargauja State Gymnasium

Among the foreign participants, the most active students were from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine and, for the first time, representatives from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Haiti and China took part in the TSI event.

On April 21, 2020, the winner of the online contest Brain Gym organized by the Transport and Telecommunications Institute (TSI) was announced live on the TSI Facebook page, who won 1000 EUR for studies at TSI and an electric scooter and other valuable prizes!
