On November 28, 2021, the final competition of hackathon ROBOTHACK took place in online mode. 12 teams demonstrated their projects developed for the last 48 hours. It was an amazing “battle” of ideas and solutions.
We are proud to announce that the 2nd place in this competition has been awarded to the team of students from our Institute – the Cinnamon Bun. The team has presented the project “Yellow Submarine“ – the autonomous robot, which can collect the garbage and deliver it for recycling.
The presented project has been devoted to solving the vivid problem of the pollution of the ports and inland waters by plastic and biomass. During the 48h the team Cinnamon Bun developed the idea from the scratch and created a 3D model of the solution as well as thought about the behavioural algorithms depending on the environment, such as following the coastline and avoiding obstacles.
We sincerely congratulate our students and wish them further success!
