TSI students on an excursion to Food Union

Last week TSI’s 1st and 2nd-year logistics students went on an excursion to Food Union.

During the tour, students had the opportunity to learn about warehouse management and processes, inventory management, as well as a logistics planning system that makes the delivery process more efficient.

Food Union is a global group of food producers and a top leader in the dairy and ice cream market. The company is a part of the 2 largest milk production plants in Latvia “Rīgas Piena kombināts” and “Valmieras piens”. Food Union selects and maintains an environmentally friendly car park, therefore reducing CO2 emissions.
