The Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) students of the study programmes Electronics, BSc and Robotics, BSc from the Engineering Faculty went on a study tour and visited the metalworking company SIA Haugaard Baltic last week. Of particular interest were questions related to the optimization of work processes, using robotic equipment – robot metal bending machine, controlled by CNC, welding robots etc.
SIA Haugaard Baltic is a metal construction and metalworking company in Jelgava and today, Haugaard is one of the leading companies within processing of tubes and wire. Haugaard works many different customers and industries on various projects. In previous years, SIA Haugaard Baltic has become one of the fastest growing companies in Latvia.
