Three Latvian Classical Chess Tournaments were held at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) throughout the week starting 27 April. In the evening on May 4, the Latvian Classic Chess Tournament champions 2022 were decided at the awarding ceremony.
The first place in the Latvian men’s championship was taken by the international master Ilmars Starostits. The winner of the Latvian women’s championship was Laura Rogule.
This year, the first amateur level tournament – the TSI Open was held, where Artis Alainis became the best. We are pleased that our students Vasilijs Vilks, Manu Viktors Vilks and Savely Martynov also took an active part in the TSI Open tournament.
