The tasks of the first half of the eMEDIATOR project were successfully completed – the main ecosystem models for the provision of mobile education were developed, based on a competency-based approach. Project partners provided reports that contain descriptions of Service Delivery Model (Transport and Telecommunication Institute, Latvia), Learning Delivery Mode (University of Lodz, Poland), Organizational Model (Transport and Telecommunication Institute, Latvia), Portal Architecture (University of Ioannina, Greece), Model for Job Application Support and Model for Job Finding (UMU, Spain), etc. Development of other ecosystem models will continue.
A separate part of the project is the development of a DEMO application as a prototype of the future eMEDIATOR digital platform. This work is carried out under the direction of the University of Ioannina (Greece). The requirements for the future digital platform are currently being collected. This will be the main issue at the upcoming International Rally, which is moderated by the University of Murcia. During the rally, a brainstorm will be held to identify a variety of educational requirements for a wide range of stakeholders (students, teachers, employees of enterprises, employers, universities, vocational training centers, government education quality control bodies, etc.). It is planned to create a generalized model of platform requirements and implement the visualization of their main part in the form of a DEMO application at the final stage of the project.
The results of the project are of great importance both for the development of higher education in Europe and for the introduction of innovative forms of organization of education in TSI. It is supposed to develop a model and a demonstration prototype of a unified digital platform for organizing an expandable mobile educational service using cloud technologies.
