Today, On February 12, the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) hosted Shadow Day 2020, within the framework of a World recognized career education program.
13 Shadows arrived this year and followed our colleagues – Head and Training Manager of Aviation Training Center, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications, Head of Corporate Client Relationship Department, Engineer of Robotics Center and Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics.
The willingness to become the shadow of our specialists was expressed by pupils from Riga State Gymnasium No. 1 and No. 3, J.G.Herder Riga Grizinkalns Secondary School, Riga Culture Secondary School, Riga Zolitude Gymnasium, Riga Secondary School No. 40 and No. 47, Riga Kengaraga Secondary School and Riga Secondary School No. 64 and No. 80.
Today the youngsters felt, how it is to be in engineers, managers and deans shoes and had the opportunity to actively participate in everyday work, see the students’ audience with their own eyes, ask all questions about the profession they are interested in, career and job opportunities in the future.
At the end of the day Shadows were invited to a special tour of the Institute’s labs, an Aviation Center and Robotics Center and of course an airpline visit at the TSI backyard. All today’s guests received souvenirs from the Institute!
