Project to strengthen the academic staff of the Transport and Telecommunications Institute (STTIAS)

In November, a new European Social Fund (ESF) project “Strengthening academic staff of Transport and Telecommunication Institute capacity in strategic specialisation areas” (No. 8.2.2.0/18/A/011) started at TSI. The project is  funded by the European Union (85%) and the Latvian state (15%).

The main goals of this project are:

1. The involvement of doctoral students in academic work.
2. Attraction of academic staff from abroad.
3. Improving the competence of academic staff (including internships at Latvian enterprises for academic staff and vocational English language training).

The project involves the participation of academic and administrative staff of all three faculties. The project is scheduled for a period of 24 months until October 30, 2020.
