On January 30th of 2020 Minister for Transport of Latvian Republic Talis Linkaits visited Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI). He get acquainted with the infrastructure of TSI, with the main results of its work, especially with TSI’s achievements in consulting and research in the field of transport and logistics.
The Minister took a tour of Academic and Professional Aviation Center, Lab of Industrial Automation, and Telecommunications, Electronics and Robotics Center, as well as newly reconstructed lecture rooms at TSI.
Mr. T. Linkaits met with the management of TSI – the Acting Rector of TSI Juris Kanels, Chairwoman of the Board and the Vice-Rector for Research and Development, prof. Irina Yatskiv, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Andrejs Zvaigzne, and Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunication Mihail Savrasov. The Minister for Transport positively rated the Institute’s research projects in the modeling of traffic flow, planning of transport corridors and on other topics. In conclusion of his visit, Mr. T. Linkaits stated, that “Transport and Telecommunication Institute is a forge for young specialists and researchers in its field of work”.
