Role and impact of Social Entrepreneurship in Latvia

ABSTRACT

The bachelor thesis structure consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references, the aim of which is to determine the level of familiarity with SE (Social Entrepreneurship) that the Baltic country (Latvia) has now and compare it to the European level.
The first chapter aims to explain the definition and history of Social Entrepreneurship's evolution. It provides a detailed description of how and when it started at the international level and provides more information about its formation in Latvia.
The second chapter describes the social enterprises that are working and located in Latvia. This section encompasses not only the enterprises based in Latvia but also those with international recognition in Europe. It also describes the financial part.
The third and last chapter is the research part, which contains research analysis: questionnaire results from 2021 and 2024 and a comparative analysis of two studies from 2021 and 2024.
