Improving the performance of logistics company using CRM and other techniques.

This thesis delves into the implementation and impact of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems within the logistics industry, with a detailed case study of Orion Lift. The research encompasses a thorough financial analysis and logistical performance evaluation post-CRM integration. Orion Lift, a local logistics company, faced several operational challenges, including inefficiencies in customer management and high operational costs. By integrating a CRM system, the company aimed to streamline its processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve overall business performance.Financial metrics were meticulously calculated before and after the CRM implementation. The results indicate substantial improvements across all metrics, with notable increases in revenue and customer retention rates, and reductions in operational costs and customer acquisition costs. The thesis also discusses the potential financial and operational benefits of CRM systems, supported by comparative analysis with other effective CRM implementations in the logistics sector. Overall, the thesis provides a comprehensive assessment of the benefits of CRM systems in logistics, using Orion Lift as a case study.

Role and impact of Social Entrepreneurship in Latvia

The bachelor thesis structure consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references, the aim of which is to determine the level of familiarity with SE (Social Entrepreneurship) that the Baltic country (Latvia) has now and compare it to the European level. The first chapter aims to explain the definition and history of Social Entrepreneurship's evolution. It provides a detailed description of how and when it started at the international level and provides more information about its formation in Latvia. The second chapter describes the social enterprises that are working and located in Latvia. This section encompasses not only the enterprises based in Latvia but also those with international recognition in Europe. It also describes the financial part. The third and last chapter is the research part, which contains research analysis: questionnaire results from 2021 and 2024 and a comparative analysis of two studies from 2021 and 2024.

Comparative analysis of RPL protocol objective functions impact on energy consumption in low-power and lossy networks

This bachelor thesis explores the impact of different RPL protocol objective functions on energy consumption in low-power and lossy networks. Given the critical role of low-power and lossy networks in applications like environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and smart cities, optimising energy consumption is paramount. Using the Contiki-NG operating system and the Cooja network simulator, this study conducts a comparative analysis of two primary objective functions: Objective Function Zero and Minimum Rank with Hysteresis Objective Function. Simulations are performed under 18 network scenarios including different node densities (10, 30, 50), node positioning, and receive ratios. The findings indicate that Objective Function Zero generally consumes less energy, particularly in high-density networks and environments with high packet delivery ratios. Conversely, Minimum Rank with Hysteresis Objective Function may be more suitable for dynamic and unpredictable environments despite its higher energy consumption. This research offers practical recommendations for selecting objective functions to optimise the energy consumption of constrained networks, contributing to the development of more sustainable IoT solutions.

ADVANCEMENTS IN TAILLESS AIRCRAFT TECHNOLOGY: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AND PROPOSAL FOR COMMERCIAL IMPLEMENTATION

The military has a problem in developing the most sophisticated flying wings due to the relevance of tailless aircraft in military applications and the ongoing advancements in the aviation sector. This study paper delves into the extensive history of tailless aircraft, covering everything from their inception to the most cutting-edge designs available today. To develop in control systems, especially fly-by-wire technology, tailless designs are now more practical for commercial use since they are more stable and easier to handle than they were in the past. The main goals of this research are to assess the current literature on important parts of tailless aircraft technology and provide a thorough plan for their commercial deployment. The improved splitter increases the velocity by 40 m/s, although the obtained maximum velocity distribution across the aircraft was 29.3 m/s at the rear end. As a result, the aircraft is designed with higher lift and reduced drag, allowing for smoother flight in a variety of applications.Around 53% of the lift force generated is enhanced by redesigned designs. Based on the results of the study, the aircraft with the improved design had a higher lift force and reduced drag by dividing the airflow.

Comparative analysis of national AML/CFT laws in Latvia and Finland.

This bachelor's thesis analyses the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws in Latvia and Finland with a focus on their compliance with European Union standards and international recommendations provided by FATF. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide recommendations for improving AML/CFT practices in Latvia by comparing the national and external legal requirements of both countries. The study emphasises the importance of AML/CFT regulations for the protection of the financial sector in the context of growing technological advances and increasing crime risks. The study methodologically includes a careful analysis of six European Union AML/CFT directives, two regulations and the relevant AML/CFT laws of Latvia and Finland. The results of the study emphasise the importance of historical and economic factors for the success of AML/CFT measures, therefore, it is proposed to improve Latvia's AML/CFT system based on Finnish best practices.
