Evaluation of Personnel Training System in an Organization

Personnel training is crucial for enhancing organizational performance and achieving strategic objectives. Evaluating training programs involves analyzing the knowledge gained, skills acquired, and overall employee development. This evaluation helps determine whether financial investments in training are justified and predicts the rationality of further investments. This research aims to evaluate training programs in airlines, focusing on their unique training systems and developing recommendations for improvement. The study has three main objectives:• Explore theoretical aspects of personnel training systems in modern enterprises, emphasizing the concept of a learning organization.• Analyze and evaluate existing personnel training programs through case studies of two organizations.• Develop recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of personnel training systems. The analysis of theoretical aspects and existing training systems highlights current strengths and weaknesses. Based on these insights, specific recommendations have been developed to improve personnel training programs. These guide HR managers in optimizing training practices and fostering continuous improvement, enhancing individual performance, and contributing to the organization's strategic objectives.

Optimization of Turbofan Engine Performance through Blade Profile Modification

This thesis reports detailed research performed to optimize the geometries of blade rows in turbofan engines through analysis with computational fluid dynamics. The study was conducted systematically by employing theoretical analysis, along with numerical computation used to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of two different blade types. The methodology consisted of the design of blade geometries in SolidWorks, mesh generation using structured and unstructured elements, and CFD simulations on ANSYS Fluent with a focus on cascade analysis. The study commenced with the development of two designs below: Blade Design 1 having a height of 1300 mm, chord length of 294 mm at the base, and 700 mm at a height of 750 mm; Blade Design 2 at a similar height, differing only in leading edge diameters and chord lengths at different cross-sections. This enables detailed meshing such that near-wall regions and critical flow features are resolved with adequate resolution. Using a pressure-based solver, the CFD simulation was performed using the k-ω SST turbulence model, which is proper for capturing near-wall effects and handling adverse pressure gradients. Inlet velocities were considered between 1 and 40 m/s, thus analyzing performance under different operating conditions.

Improving the performance of logistics company using CRM and other techniques.

This thesis delves into the implementation and impact of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems within the logistics industry, with a detailed case study of Orion Lift. The research encompasses a thorough financial analysis and logistical performance evaluation post-CRM integration. Orion Lift, a local logistics company, faced several operational challenges, including inefficiencies in customer management and high operational costs. By integrating a CRM system, the company aimed to streamline its processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve overall business performance.Financial metrics were meticulously calculated before and after the CRM implementation. The results indicate substantial improvements across all metrics, with notable increases in revenue and customer retention rates, and reductions in operational costs and customer acquisition costs. The thesis also discusses the potential financial and operational benefits of CRM systems, supported by comparative analysis with other effective CRM implementations in the logistics sector. Overall, the thesis provides a comprehensive assessment of the benefits of CRM systems in logistics, using Orion Lift as a case study.

Role and impact of Social Entrepreneurship in Latvia

The bachelor thesis structure consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references, the aim of which is to determine the level of familiarity with SE (Social Entrepreneurship) that the Baltic country (Latvia) has now and compare it to the European level. The first chapter aims to explain the definition and history of Social Entrepreneurship's evolution. It provides a detailed description of how and when it started at the international level and provides more information about its formation in Latvia. The second chapter describes the social enterprises that are working and located in Latvia. This section encompasses not only the enterprises based in Latvia but also those with international recognition in Europe. It also describes the financial part. The third and last chapter is the research part, which contains research analysis: questionnaire results from 2021 and 2024 and a comparative analysis of two studies from 2021 and 2024.
