Development of an Alternative Mean of Compliance for inspecting passenger door stops on Embraer ERJ - 145 using Fluorescent penetrant Non-destructive Testing method.

This bachelor thesis focused on Development of an Alternative Mean of Compliance (AltMoC) for Inspecting the passenger door stops from Embraer ERJ - 145 aircraft Using Non-Destructive Testing Fluorescent penetrant method. The main goal of this work is to simplify the task with the help of a developed inspection for checking a structural component. A structural component is subject to fatigue and physical stress on it, as well as corrosion. Detailed detection of the smallest damage and metal fatigue. The developed AltMoC is aimed at significantly accelerating work processes, making inspection cheaper as well as having a simplified and clear process using penetrant testing. Having carried out research, the Author, carefully select the appropriate method for inspecting a structural component based on the type of material from which it is made, considering its’ its physical and chemical properties. Develop the correct sequence of actions in the instructions. Thanks to this, the workflow time and the risk of errors occurred due to Employees' misunderstanding significantly reduced.

Comprehensive Framework of Digital Transformation Strategy for an Organization

This study analyses the limitations of state-of-the-art digital transformation frameworks and proposes a comprehensive digital transformation framework that includes specific metrics in order to help measure its success rate. It aims to contribute to the existing knowledge and help close the gap in the literature by offering a clear example of how a digital transformation framework can be applied and customized. The proposed framework has been applied on AtlasEdge, a mid-size company specialized in data centers. The process which has been automated consists of creating a SharePoint site. Once the automation has been completed, the success rate has been assessed by calculating each indicator and comparing the values to the initial ones. The results achieved have been positive and have confirmed that the automation of the process had a great impact on the organization as it generated an increase in efficiency and customer satisfaction, as well as a major decrease in costs and error processing rate. It is important to highlight that the resources used for the automation did not incur any costs on the company, as only existing tools have been used in the process.

Customer Satisfaction in Information Provision in Bus and Coach terminals

The actuality of this research lies in the significance of changing the mobility traditions toward public transport usage. It requires considering various aspects of the customer experience in public transport services. Transport terminals are an asset to an area as they may act as catalysts for more active use of public transport. However, poorly planned, and sited terminals may generate problems and passengers reduction. The research aims to gain insights into the effectiveness of information visualization in bus and coach terminals and contribute to enhancing the overall passenger experience during journeys. The author is reviewing existing literature on information visualization in transport terminals and studies, or best practices related to improving passenger experiences through effective information design. The author used both quantitative and qualitative methods as sources of data, such as user surveys, expert interviews, and observations for understanding how passengers interact with existing information displays. From analysis, the Riga International Coach terminal has a good information system but misses some visualization tools for information provision. Thus, recommendations were made on how to improve information provision to enhance customer satisfaction.

Research on effective finding of network anomalies in Intrusion Detection Systems using ML/DL methods

In this paper, the process of testing datasets and ML/DL methods using the Weka platform in order to obtain results of their effectiveness and how high the accuracy of detecting network anomalies they provide is described. During the experiment, many ML/DL algorithms and the most common datasets (KDD99, NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15) were analyzed, as a result of which it was revealed that the best result of detection accuracy and time required on the experiment was produced by the NSL-KDD dataset.
