Increasing the productivity efficiency of the company using the example of as Latvijas Finieris plant Lignums

The bachelor thesis studies the increase of production efficiency at JSC "Latvijas Finieris" factory Lignums, using theoretical approaches and practical solutions. The aim of the thesis is to find out how efficiency improvement can change the structure of the company and improve its competitiveness. The bachelor thesis consists of an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter provides a theoretical investigation of improving production efficiency using different theories and methods. The second chapter describes the operation of the Lignums factory, including its history, structure and current situation. Chapter 3 provides a detailed study and analysis of the production process using in-house programmes and the results of an employee survey. The paper uses a variety of research methods: descriptive analysis, expert interviews, loss optimization techniques, financial analysis and sociological surveys. The conclusions are based on the data and theoretical reviews and provide suggestions for improving production efficiency. The study offers practical solutions to help improve the company's performance and increase its competitiveness in the domestic and international markets.

Factors affecting customer loyalty in the logistics service
industry

In this study the author conducted a survey among 68 employees of different companies, 31 of them representing logistics companies and 37 employees of companies that are users of these services in order to analyze the obtained data using the PLS-SEM method and to identify the key factors affecting the formation of customer loyalty. Based on the identified factors the author proposes a concept of measures to increase customer loyalty of small road freight transportation companies in Latvia.Chapter 1 provides theoretical information on the process of selecting a logistics service provider and a description of the factors used in this process. The basics of the creation of customer loyalty and measures to increase it were also considered.Chapter 2 includes the analysis of the freight transportation market in Latvia, analysis of logistics companies in Latvia and analysis of the data obtained from the survey.Chapter 3 contains a statistical model showing the most important factors affecting customer loyalty of logistic companies. Based on the statistical model, a concept of measures to increase customer loyalty of small logistics companies is proposed.

Drone manipulator optimization and integration in affordable quadcopter

This paper explores the development of a drone-attachable manipulator designed to perform construction and maintenance tasks, moving beyond the traditional use of UAVs for monitoring. Our primary objective is to design a manipulator capable of lifting objects weighing up to 300 grams, adhering to principles of low cost, ease of manufacturing, and high quality. We begin with a literature review of UAV types and their suitability for integration with manipulators. The design process involves creating multiple manipulator prototypes using Solidworks for simulations to gather data on performance and structural integrity.Static stress and displacement analyses are conducted to identify areas of high stress and potential deformation. Initial designs demonstrate that the static force required to hold a 300-gram object exceeds the capabilities of our prototypes. The final manipulator design is tested for its lifting capabilities and operational limitations. Re The study concludes with an evaluation of the design process, limitations, and potential for future applications of UAV-integrated manipulators in infrastructure construction and maintenance

Assessment of the technical condition of the air conditioning system of a passenger aircraft during operation

The air conditioning system is one of the most important life support systems in an aircraft, therefore the assessment of technical condition and maintenance of reliability at an appropriate level are of great importance in ensuring flight safety. Thesis evaluates the technical condition of the air conditioning system of short flight passenger aircraft. To solve the tasks, the author has developed a prototype of a short flights passenger transportation aircraft and proposed an air conditioning system scheme and calculated the structural reliability of the air conditioning system for one flight shift. This work has practical application and the approaches described can be used to assess the reliability and technical condition of the aircraft during exploitation.
