Improving the efficiency of SIA Ultramarine Services seafarers' recruitment company

The first part of the thesis compiles theoretical insights on the research topic, including operational efficiency, its evaluation, influencing factors, promotion possibilities, and the efficiency of the personnel selection process. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the characterization of the studied company, covering the company's main areas of activity and results, as well as describing the main business processes related to personnel selection. In the third section, a practical study is conducted on the efficiency of the company's operations and the sailor selection process. It includes an analysis of the company's performance indicators, a comparison with industry averages, and an analysis of survey results. Based on the research findings, recommendations are provided to the company with the aim of improving its efficiency.

Intermodal and unimodal freight transport and its efficiency

In the literature review of the bachelor thesis the available information in the scientific literature on the theoretical aspects of intermodal and unimodal freight transport is summarized, including an analysis of European transport statistics and companies views on these modes of transport. The thesis describes the organization of intermodal and unimodal transport and analyses a survey of logistics companies in order to understand the advantages and disadvantages of these modes of transport. The practical part presents a research project on intermodal and unimodal transport and its efficiency.

Customer Acquisition methods in transport service companies

The aim of Diploma thesis is to analyze customer acquisition methods in logistics industry, thereby proposing suggestions for its improvement. Diploma thesis tasks are to explore the theoretical aspects of customer acquisition. Interview companies in transport and logistics service industry. Perform a survey of DSV Latvia sales representatives. Conduct a consumer survey on customer acquisition methods. Draw conclusions and develop proposals on customer acquisition methods for the company DSV Latvia.First chapter of the thesis compiles the customer acquisition methods. Second chapter describes the activities of DSV Latvia. Chapter three analyzes the results of the surveys and interviews. The thesis concludes with conclusions and proposals for the use of customer acquisition methods for transport and logistics service companies.The research methods include literature analysis, interviews, and surveys. Achieved results - customer acquisition methods have been explored. Customer acquisition methods have been identified within the company DSV Latvia. It has been determined what customer acquisition methods other transport and logistics service companies use. Proposals have been developed for the use of customer acquisition methods for transport and logistics service companies.

Autonomous technologies in freight transportation and prospects for replacing drivers with autopilots

The thesis includes a literature review on autonomous freight transportation and its key components. The paper analyzes the experience of testing and operating autonomous trucks in different regions and assesses their impact on the labor market, including the reduced demand for drivers and the emergence of new professions. Safety aspects and economic impacts of autopilot deployment, such as reduced traffic accidents, are considered. As part of the study, a survey was conducted among logistics industry employees to understand professionals opinions on the development of this field. The costs of implementing autonomous freight transportation were also assessed.
