The impact of logistics and transport business on the environment in the European Union.

This thesis analyses the environmental effects of reducing pollution from transport within the framework of the European Union's Sustainable Development Goals. The study uses PEST analysis and CO₂ emission reduction calculations to demonstrate how eco standards affect the transport sector and how to adapt to new standards and develop in a sustainable way. The results show significant cost savings and compliance with EU regulations.

Implementation of multimodal transportation to increase sustainability of local supply chains in India

This thesis explores multimodal transport’s role in enhancing sustainability in India's supply chains while addressing cost, productivity, and environmental challenges. Using the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) strategy and Transportation Theory, it assesses economic, environmental, and social impacts. Road transport dominates, causing high carbon emissions and fuel consumption. The study reviews literature, case studies like the Sagarmala Project, and stakeholder surveys, identifying barriers such as poor infrastructure, high costs, and fragmented policies. However, integrating rail, road, and waterways can improve efficiency. Findings suggest multimodal transport lowers costs, emissions, and reliance on a single mode while enhancing service quality. Stakeholders support this shift, calling for policy backing, infrastructure investment, incentives, and technologies like IoT and blockchain. Strategic recommendations focus on collaboration, regulatory reforms, and infrastructure development. This research offers policy insights to improve India's supply chain sustainability and economic goals.

Role of Social Media in Promoting Ecotourism

Keywords ECOTOURISM, SOCIAL MEDIA, PROMOTION, INDIAThe research aim is to assess the impact of social media on boosting ecotourism in India. The subject of the research is impact of social media on improving the attractiveness of ecotourism in India. The object of the research is ecotourism in India. Research objectives are as follows: to conduct theoretical analysis regarding the social media and their impact on promoting ecotourism; to conduct industry analysis regarding the ecotourism in India; to develop an empirical research methodology and complete survey and interviews regarding the impact of social media on ecotourism attractiveness; to provide recommendations for the managers involved in ecotourism aimed at improving the attractiveness of ecotourism by means of social media. The results show that there is a significant social media role in transforming the landscape of tourism, particularly in the context of sustainable tourism and ecotourism promotion. Assessing the Viability of Natural Language Processing Applications within an Electronic Checklist
System for Freight Forwarders: Rule-based Information Extraction from Cargo Descriptions.

This study investigates the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) within electronic checklist systems to enhance cargo description and securing practices for freight forwarders. The logistics industry faces significant challenges due to complex and varied legislation and the need for autonomous validation tools for cargo securing. This research aims to develop a rule-based Named Entity Recognition (NER) model to standardize and automate the extraction of entities from cargo descriptions. Key components of this study include the development of an entity extraction mechanism using regular expressions and standardized codes. The research demonstrates the potential of NLP solutions to generate precise, dynamic checklists from detailed cargo descriptions, ensuring that all pertinent tasks are covered. The developed NER model's effectiveness is evaluated through a series of experiments, showcasing high precision, recall, and F1 scores, thus highlighting its practical applicability in real-world logistics operations. The findings underscore the importance of standardizing cargo-related information to facilitate the broader adoption of automated NLP solutions in the logistics industry.
